The new forum
We have a new forum!
Why? What happened to the old forum?
Sadly, we couldn't make it work reliable lately. It was abandoned by its developer, there was no one who knew how to fix it. We had to move to a new platform, now it's open source vanilla forum.
Will the data from the old forum be restored?
The old forum is temporarily accessible here. Copy all the texts you want from the old forum before it's closed forever. No topics or mailbox conversations will be migrated to the new forum, databases are completely incompatible. Important texts (such chat rules and skin guides) are restored.
What's new on this forum?
It has overall more features than the old forum. Some important differences:
Users with rank below 3 can post only to "New user's questions" category. This is a measure against spam.
When you are in an Inbox conversation and someone sends you a message in that conversation, it doesn't appear on the page instantly. You need to change the page and then return to that conversation or reload the page. So Inbox is not very suitable for real-time chat. It's the technology of this forum, we can't fix it. It's better to use other instant messengers if you need to chat fast. Although, a small notification with a message appears at the corner, so you can still chat without constant changing pages or reloading.
There are no group chats like in the old forum, but you can start a private conversation with one user and then add other users. So it's almost like the old group chat, except it has no name. Since group chat names were abused on the old forum, this is a feature we don't regret losing.
By default the forum uses your game skin as an avatar, but you can also upload a custom image. The image may be big, but the user icon maximum size is 40x40 pixels. You can choose how to crop an image when you upload it, it's quite convenient. If you want a custom avatar, we highly recommend uploading .png with a transparent background, then it will match the page perfectly. Avatars with white background look poor on dark pages.
- There is an extensive notifications system (both on-screen and by email). You can configure them in the profile.

The design is improved again (bigger fonts in posts, separators between comments, proper colors for code and quotation blocks). Please, use CTRL+F5 to reload the site.
Also, I have to test if these functions still do anything or not! : p

Friend list and online stats doesn't work anymore. We'll remove it from the chat menu. Maybe in the future we'll add user online status and current server/room.
- it sorts topics by the last post date, just like the old forum did;
- it displays topics with unread messages in bold;
- it has "Discussions" view at the top that displays all recent topics from all categories together;
- you can bookmark and watch topics (click on the star symbol);
- it has different customizable notifications, which lead you directly to the fresh posts.
Sidebar - I wanted to buy some plut recently, but it wouldn't work....is that functionality actually down?
