Teamwork vs Solo: The strategy within

I prefer to work in a team because i have someone who can help me gather powerups and could help me when i get surrounded. plus I just enjoy working with someone. But it seems that other players prefer to fly solo which i can understand. Im just curious about the different strategys that can be employed with each method of play. let me hear your thoughts of which you all prefer. AND IF YOU DONT CARE COULD YOU EXPLAIN WHY YOU PREFER THAT OPTION. TEAMWORK OR SOLO?

    Teamwork is usually better for getting goals/pluto. Solo is better for kills/medals because you can kill anyone you want. lol

    As @pwnyy said solo style is better for kills/medals and thats why i prefer it (; Another aspect which has a influence on the game style (team vs solo - we are talking about hardcore mode) is the ussage of perks, for example if you are using Amplified explosion i would reccomend not to team up with sombody, because the additional flame rate is dangerouse^^
