What is this speed thing?

so i was playing on AU server, and normally i have lag there, so after a while i noticed my ping having other numbers instead of the usual 0's example instead of 300-400 i was seeing 345 and 472, and then suddenly a speed thing popped up below the fps (on the older HUD) and above ping (on the new HUD style).     hmm I usually only see "speed" on caffeine server.

    It indicates that the game slows down to compensate for something. It's a temporary state and was added primarily for troubleshooting. Normally the speed is around 100% and it's not shown.
