Firefox is not as bad as it only has 1-3 second freeze however Chrome is 7-10 seconds.

I agree with Syme since I have a family member who suffers from color blindness. His graphics look far more polished and ready for the game and really are not busy at all.

Could be any number of issues... Bad systems architecture from the devs playing on cheap servers, your end, maybe your ISP is doing traffic shaping, maybe your computer is slowing down doing other tasks. It's all a mystery.
